GREETINGS EVERYONE!

I am now offering individual instruction for the adult novice through my home studio/gallery.  Times can be very flexible to suit your own schedule.  You may call me to arrange an interview at 328-8376.  If you have always wanted to paint, but could not  find time for classes, this is the perfect opportunity to realize your dream!  

Beginner's workshop, March 9 at the Corbin Art Center was a huge success.  Hopefully, "Where do I Begin"  will be offered again. Please watch the Parks and Rec. catalogues and THIS SITE for details!

Look for my new "Asian style" collection now available through this site . The BEAUTIFULLY FRAMED originals can also be seen at the Wm. Grant Gallery along with MANY NEW WORKS. Now added to my "Murals" collection, is a new 6 x  20 foot wall of three images for my EDWARD JONES BROKER, Jon Shroyer.  The focus is his OWN office on North Indian Trail Road plus views of Riverfront Park and a rural farm scene.  We believe this mural will be unique in Spokane and possibly the country!

Our ANNUAL CHRISTMAS RECEPTION,  Saturday, Nov. 15, from 12 noon until 4pm.  See you there!

A new venue for me this Fall will be through the month of November at the premier coffee shop and bookstore on the Palouse, "ON SACRED GROUNDS" located at 12212 E. Palouse Hwy.  My reception will be Sat., Nov. 8 from 1 - 4pm.  This eclectic hot spot is a "must visit" if you have never been there!

"Asian Style" Koi

A resurgence of this loose, whimsical style is enjoying renewed popularity.  Characterized by found details within the negative spaces, it is also executed most often with a good amount of poured pigment, spattering, blown paint and the use of a very limited palette.  Althought this looks like it should be much simpler than some more representational works, training the mind to bring out negative detail  is definitely a challenge, but one that I have thoroughly enjoyed attempting to overcome.!  Embracing all of the intense variations of the primary colors, the drips, flows, spatters and "happy dots" has been a delightful exercise!  Additional works can be seen under my new "Asian Sytle" series  and the BEAUTIFULLY FRAMED originals are on display at the Wm. Grant Gallery on Francis.
